(Blue Rose) is seeking an experienced Java Back End Developer to support the development and operation of secure, mission-critical federal applications. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that power reliable, high-performing government platforms. You will work closely with front-end developers, cloud engineers, and stakeholders to deliver resilient solutions that meet federal security, performance, and reliability standards. What You’ll Do As a Java Back End Developer, you will: Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring-based frameworks Build and support RESTful APIs and backend integrations Develop applications using Spring Boot and modern Java design patterns Design and manage data persistence using PostgreSQL Deploy, operate, and optimize applications in AWS cloud environments Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and performance issues Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure seamless system integration Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Participate in Agile development ceremonies and team collaboration Schedule & Shift Details Full-time (40 hours/week) Remote work; support aligned to standard U.S. business hours Requirements U.S. Citizenship required Public Trust clearance required or higher 7–10 years of experience developing enterprise applications with Java 7–10 years of experience using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases Experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS environments Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and backend architecture Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues Strong collaboration and communication skills Why Join Blue Rose?
