IoT Integration Software Engineer

Location: Cary, NC / Overland Park, KS / Remote (US)
Employment Type: W2 / C2C

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IoT Integration Software Engineer to design and build cloud-native solutions for ingesting and integrating industrial telemetry data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IoT data is reliable, structured, and accessible for downstream applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain IoT data ingestion pipelines (edge to cloud)
Work with AWS IoT SiteWise for asset modeling and data structuring
Integrate edge devices using AWS IoT Greengrass or similar platforms
Collaborate with hardware and software teams for asset/data mapping
Expose IoT data via APIs, event streams, and application interfaces
Troubleshoot telemetry and ingestion issues across environments
Required Skills

4–7 years of experience in software development or IoT integration
Strong experience in Python or TypeScript
Hands-on experience with cloud-based IoT / telemetry systems (AWS preferred)
Experience with event-driven or streaming architectures
Understanding of IoT data ingestion and integration patterns
Nice to Have

Experience with AWS IoT SiteWise & Greengrass
Industrial IoT / OT domain experience
Time-series data and telemetry handling
Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Observability and monitoring tools
