We specialize in advanced development solutions for WordPress and WooCommerce, with a solutions-oriented model that emphasizes deep collaboration. Our client work spans a wide gamut—from advanced headless implementations and complex integrations to lightweight support for sites built on prebuilt themes or page builders. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We’re looking to grow our team with a talented, senior-level developer with at least 5 years of hands-on WordPress/WooCommerce experience. Essential skills include: Custom Theme Development You should be fluent in building custom WordPress themes by hand, without relying on frameworks, boilerplates, or visual builders. Themes should match design mockups with pixel-perfect precision and follow best practices for SEO, accessibility, and responsive design. Mastery of HTML, SCSS, and Javascript (including jQuery) is essential. Familiarity with React is preferred (especially headless WordPress implementations), and experience with Node/Gulp and Git are strong bonuses. Content Architecture Going hand in hand with custom theme development, we begin all new WordPress builds with an evaluation concerning how content will be assembled, entered, and maintained. Nearly all of our builds rely on well-structured custom post types, reusable templates, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), including Flexible Content and nested Repeater fields. Experience with custom Gutenberg blocks is highly desirable. Familiarity with page builders like Elementor Pro, Beaver Builder, and Divi is also a plus. Custom Plugin Development We frequently build custom plugins—varying in complexity from simple WooCommerce shipping tweaks to fully custom ordering wizards or advanced API integrations with external platforms. You should be highly competent with PHP, MySQL, and REST APIs, and well-versed in WooCommerce hooks and filters. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving A significant portion of our work involves supporting and improving existing sites we didn’t build. You'll need strong diagnostic skills and the ability to implement robust, future-proof solutions—even in messy or unpredictable environments. Real-world examples include: Diagnosing plugin conflicts Resolving issues with external services (e.g., taxes or fulfillment) Investigating intermittent, hard-to-reproduce bugs Communication Clear and effective communication is essential. Our team collaborates daily via Slack, Asana, Missive, and Zoom, and, while most communication is internal (project specs, launch plans, QA handoffs), the ability to interface professionally with clients is a definite plus. Strong Learning Agility While we value deep experience and refined technical skill, the ability to quickly learn and adapt is just as critical. You should be comfortable navigating unfamiliar codebases, absorbing new tools and technologies, and responding thoughtfully to feedback—both giving and receiving it. We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment where learning is continuous and who can grow alongside evolving client needs and platform capabilities. WHAT WE'RE OFFERING Camna is looking to fill a full-time, salaried position. Job culture and perks include: 100% remote — All Camna employees work from home and enjoy a commute-free lifestyle. We trust our team to be focused and self-directed—no micromanagement, just accurate time tracking and dependable output. Flexible schedule — We believe in work-life balance and understand that circumstances and lifestyles vary. We ask our employees to adopt a consistent routine that includes putting in their 8 hours between 7 AM and 7 PM ET, but we fully support time away for personal needs (appointments, family events, etc.) with reasonable notice. Minimal overtime — We aim for a sustainable 40-hour week. Outside of the rare urgent situation, long hours are not part of our culture. Low stress environment — While deadlines and hiccups happen, we work hard to foster a calm and collaborative dynamic that's conducive to productivity, not anxiety.
