In this role, you will help build and scale both the backend services and front-end interfaces of our platform, leveraging microservices, LLMs, and RAG to empower officers to search through massive amounts of data using natural language. Responsibilities: ● Design, build, and maintain backend microservices using FastAPI (Python). ● Develop and maintain Angular front-end applications used by investigators and analysts. ● Design and manage databases (PostgreSQL, Neo4j) for structured evidence data. ● Build secure, scalable APIs consumed by Angular/React front-ends. ● Collaborate across the stack to deliver features from concept to production. ● Help optimize systems for large-scale evidence ingestion, processing, and search. Skills and Experience: Strong foundational programming skills with Python or a similar backend language, complemented by experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL. A proven ability to develop modern web applications using Angular or comparable front-end frameworks, experience working with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Proficiency in using agentic programming tools—such as Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code. A generalist mindset and a genuine curiosity for emerging technologies like LLMs, RAG, and vector databases (Weaviate, Pinecone); while the technology experience is a plus, we value the ability to learn new tools quickly. Knowledge of AI/ML model deployment (SageMaker, Bedrock) Prior work in high security or CJIS-Compliant environments. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of ownership over features and the adaptability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment. Demonstrated organization and attention to detail, ensuring reliability whether you are deploying microservices or designing user-facing interfaces.
