About Tato

Tato is building the AI operations layer for the pet industry, starting with an agent-first platform for pet care businesses including daycare, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary clinics. Our software runs facilities end-to-end, from an AI receptionist that handles every call to a purpose-built CRM that replaces legacy tools.

We're a 2-person founding team (ex-AWS, ex-Amazon/TikTok) with paying customers and venture backing. We develop AI-first: Claude Code, Cursor, and LLMs are core to how we build. We're looking for a contractor who works the same way.



The Role

You'll build out core AI-native pet care modules that extend our platform beyond dog parks into daycare, grooming, boarding, and training. This is greenfield product work. You'll own features end-to-end from design to deployment.



Modules you'll build:

Daycare scheduling and AI capacity management
Grooming appointment booking and service tracking
Boarding reservations and kennel management
Training session scheduling


Tech Stack

Frontend: Next.js 14, React, Tailwind CSS
Backend: Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Edge Functions)
Payments: Stripe (Connect, Checkout, Subscriptions)
AI/Voice: Vapi, Deepgram, OpenAI
AI Dev Tools: Claude Code, Cursor

Full-Stack Capable: Strong Next.js + Supabase experience (or similar modern stack). You own features end-to-end from UI to database.

Nice to Have

Experience with voice AI (Vapi, Deepgram, or similar)
Stripe Connect / multi-tenant payments
Pet care or vertical SaaS experience
Built agentic workflows or RAG systems


Compensation

$60–80/hr depending on experience
