Job Description

Overview
Razor is looking for a Backend Java Developer with experience developing J2EE applications using REST/JSON, Spring, and Spring Boot. Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Follows approved Agile life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, performs program coding, and resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
Targeted start date: March 2026
Education & Certification Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field i.e computer science, information technology, mathematics
Clearance Requirements
Candidates will be required to go through a Public Trust Security Clearance
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement Java/J2EE applications
Develop REST and SOAP-based web services
Write and maintain design documents
Perform debugging, investigation, and issue resolution
Provide production support
Design and perform unit testing, functional testing, and code reviews
Develop database components including stored procedures, DML, and DDL
Qualifications
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Excellent problem‐solving skills, including process and application improvement
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Streams API, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, REST/SOAP web services, XSLT, XML, JSON
Strong experience with Git and repository platforms such as GitHub and Bitbucket
Strong experience with Maven
Strong experience using modern IDEs (VS Code, IntelliJ)
Strong experience with relational databases and query development
Strong production support experience
Experience documenting technical designs
Experience with unit testing, functional testing, and code reviews
Experience with database design, stored procedures, DML/DDL
Experience with AWS services
Desired Skills
Experience working in Agile environments
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tracking tools
Experience with front‐end technologies: HTML, JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS
Experience with CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
Experience with Python
Experience with modern front‐end frameworks: React, Ember, EXT, Angular, Bootstrap
Experience using performance/profiling tools and debugging in preferred IDEs
Experience with NoSQL databases
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
