Overview

We are seeking an experienced Back-End Developer to join our team on a remote basis for one of our Deloitte clients. This role will focus on designing, building and maintaining scalable backend systems, with particular emphasis on supporting the implementation of a new rules engine within Snowflake and developing robust Python-based services.

 

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, performance, and seamless integration between backend systems and the user interface.

 

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
Support the setup, configuration and optimisation of a new rules engine within Snowflake
Develop and maintain backend applications using Python
Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless API integration
Optimise application performance, scalability, and security
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in architectural decisions and technical design discussions
 

Required Experience

Proven experience in backend development
Strong Python development skills
Experience working with Snowflake, including configuration and data modelling is essential
Solid understanding of API design (RESTful services)
Experience working with databases and data-driven systems
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
