Responsibilities Design, develop, and commission automated systems utilizing robotics such as Fanuc and other industrial robots to improve manufacturing efficiency. Program and troubleshoot robot controllers, ensuring precise operation and integration with existing machinery. Create detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to support system installation and maintenance. Implement lean manufacturing principles by analyzing processes, identifying bottlenecks, and deploying automation solutions that reduce waste and enhance throughput. Conduct root cause analysis on automation-related issues, diagnosing mechanical or electrical faults within complex systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tooling, fixtures, and machining processes that complement automation efforts. Maintain compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards by validating automation systems and ensuring quality control through vision inspection systems and distributed control systems. Requirements Proven experience with robot programming, particularly with Fanuc or similar robotic systems in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge including schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, tooling design, and machining processes. Proficiency in programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and understanding of distributed control systems (DCS). Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for designing automation components. Knowledge of vision inspection systems for quality assurance applications. Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex automation issues to identify solutions efficiently.
