**AI Automation Engineer (n8n) — Part-Time / Contract**

We're a Los Angeles-based managed IT provider with an automation-first approach. We serve ~30 SMB clients across healthcare, legal, and financial services — and we're building out a full AI automation practice on top of our managed services foundation. No fluff, no bloated processes. We move fast, document everything, and automate anything repetitive.

**The Role**

We're looking for an n8n-experienced automation engineer to help us design, build, and document AI-powered workflows for our clients. This is a hands-on builder role — you'll work directly with our team to identify automation opportunities, architect the solution, and deploy it in production.

This is a part-time contract role with potential to grow into a full-time position as our automation practice scales.

**What You'll Build**

- Inbound call routing and voice agents using Retell AI or VAPI connected via n8n

- EHR and practice management integrations for healthcare clients

- CRM automation and lead routing via HubSpot

- AI-powered document processing and summarization workflows

- Ticket triage and escalation flows for IT support

- Client-facing reporting and notification automations

**What We're Looking For**

**Required**

- 1+ years hands-on experience building production workflows in n8n

- Comfortable with webhooks, REST APIs, and JSON manipulation

- Experience integrating with at least 3 of the following: HubSpot, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Twilio, OpenAI/Claude API, Airtable

- Able to document what you build clearly — runbooks, flow diagrams, field mapping

- Strong async communicator — we don't micromanage but we do expect updates

**Nice to Have**

- Experience with voice AI platforms (Retell AI, Bland AI, VAPI)

- HIPAA awareness or healthcare/legal workflow experience

- Familiarity with Make.com or Zapier (we use all three depending on client)

- Experience with VoIP systems (SkySwitch, RingCentral, 3CX)

- Self-hosted n8n deployment experience
