Is that you?Summary:We are seeking a highly capable Senior Software Engineer to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions across complex systems. This role requires a deep understanding of modern cloud-native technologies, ownership over technical delivery, and a collaborative mindset to influence both peers and product direction. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to build impactful features that serve our customers reliably at scale.Responsibilities:Lead and contribute to multiple concurrent engineering effortsWork both independently and collaboratively to drive technical solutions and deliver high-quality outcomesDesign and build modern, responsive front-end applications using frameworks such as React, ensuring exceptional user experience and performance across devicesTake ownership of features from planning through delivery by proactively estimating scope, lead implementation with minimal guidance, and provide thoughtful, high-quality code reviews that elevate the team’s outputDesign performant, scalable, and reliable software, considering both functional and non-functional aspectsUnderstand data flow, established patterns, and functional needs to inform developmentCreate a plan for your work by gathering information from your squad and the broader R&D organization Develop software that meets our internal standards of qualityMake daily code contributions in small, manageable chunks, with continuous integration in mindFix major issues, defects and vulnerabilities in existing codebasesCreate and update unit tests to ensure proper coverage of your contributions to the code base and maintain the coverage standardProactively raise the bar for engineering quality by defining and evolving coding standards, workflow processes, performance benchmarks, and observability practicesLeverage observability best practices to define monitors and alerts that ensure real-time insight into the operational health of production systemsDiagnose and fix performance and optimization problems in legacy codePartner with engineers and R&D stakeholders across teams to ensure effective collaboration and deliver results that move the business forwardTeach and provide guidance to others in your area of expertiseParticipate in resolving, and sometimes lead the resolution of, after-hours Production incidentsDemonstrate your project work and product contributionsQualifications: 4+ years of professional software development experienceStrong experience developing front-end applications with React (or similar modern JavaScript frameworks)Experience building cloud-native softwareExperience with a technology stack and architecture similar to Greenlight Guru’sExperience with REST, RPC, and GraphQL APIsAbility to create unit and integration test suitesExperience with continuous integration pipelines and automationExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong emphasis on active listening.Highly collaborative with exceptional interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to use data to measure and explore how to evolve our technology Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsIntellectual curiosity about the real-world usage of your programmingProven ability to use AI-powered tools such as coding assistants, automation platforms, and data analysis tools to improve engineering productivity and quality.Benefits you’ll enjoy:Supportive teammates and co-workers who care deeply about our missionFlexible Paid Time Off policy and working hoursRemote-first cultureHome Office stipend upon hireMultiple Health insurance options (vision, medical, dental)401k (with company match) Equity Program Eligibility (based on role and/or tenure)Three months of paid maternity leaveDisability insuranceThis role can be located within the United States or Canada.
