Who you are
Education: Bachelors degree in relevant field
Experience: 3 to 10 years of experience
Developers with fewer than 3 years of professional experience may apply if they can demonstrate significant personal projects (show us your Github)
Languages: C++, Python, CMake, Matlab, Fortran
A functional understanding of C++17/20
A functional understanding of C++ build systems, specifically modern CMake
A functional understanding of revision control systems (i.e. git)
Must be a US Citizen

What the job involves
Document user and client feedback; develop project issues
In coordination with project leads, develop C++ library features and Python bindings that implement system requirements and consider user/client feedback
Develop functions, methods, and tests in support of C++ feature development
Design, develop, document, test, and debug C++/Python software and systems
Participate in regular code reviews
Maintain and improve the software CI/CD pipelines

Our take

To empower critical space missions, Turion Space builds and operates DROID Satellites that its clients can control through the company's operating system (known as Starfire).
The idea behind Turion's approach is to simplify satellite operations by making them non-configurable, instead handling day-to-day operations itself. In this way, the company helps its clients to eliminate friction between platform and bus suppliers, which can hinder the potential of missions.

To support the expansion of its operations, which include non-earth imaging, space debris removal and satellite servicing, the company has raised strategic funding. This positions it well to close in on its goal of producing 45 satellites annually by 2027.
