This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer who thrives at the intersection of application development, infrastructure and automation. You’ll architect and build the systems and tools that empower developers to deliver high-quality, scalable software with confidence and speed. You’ll lead through technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on engineering across our testing platforms and CI/CD pipelines.What You’ll DoDesign and build core platform capabilities that improve developer experience, testing reliability, and deployment scalability.Lead large-scale architectural initiatives to evolve our test infrastructure and increase automation across teams.Develop high-quality, production-grade software — primarily in TypeScript, with additional work in Python or Go as needed.Build and maintain integrated testing systems (integration, journey, load, and performance testing) that ensure our products scale and perform under pressure.Own and improve our CI/CD pipelines, enhancing their extensibility, observability, and success rates through code-driven solutions.Collaborate with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks, unify patterns, and develop reusable tooling that accelerates delivery.Champion best practices for automation, reliability, and developer enablement — combining coding proficiency with modern cloud operations.Mentor engineers through code reviews, architectural discussions, and proactive knowledge-sharing.What We’re Looking ForRequired:6+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend fundamentals and comfort working across infrastructure layers.Deep proficiency in at least one programming language (TypeScript, Python, Go, etc.) and familiarity with modern toolchains.Hands-on experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native systems (AWS or equivalent).Ability to design, build, and optimize systems for testing, observability, and performance.Proven ability to drive technical direction and cross-team alignment at a staff or principal level.Strong collaboration and communication skills with an emphasis on technical credibility and ownership.Interest in leveraging AI-assisted development to increase impact and velocity.Nice to Have:Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure.Background in infrastructure as code or cloud provisioning (Terraform, CloudFormation) where needed, with a focus on future-ready approaches.Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks or distributed testing environments.Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.Experience bridging software and DevOps disciplines — comfortable modifying application code and deployment pipelines alike.AWS certifications or equivalent real-world expertise in scalable architecture or platform systems.We get it.
