Our simulations are true hands-on learning in a virtual environment.We take pride in the fact that our solutions and services are designed to empower educators and students alike, enabling them to take a transformative journey of exploration, engage in learning, and participate in real-world experiences.In July 2025, eDynamic Learning was acquired by Pearson.Role Overview In this role, you will report to the Technical Lead and work closely with the rest of the Software Engineering team, DevOps, Business Systems, and other teams across the company.In this role, you will participate in our software activities to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable applications that power eDynamic Learning’s digital ecosystem to deliver robust, high-performance solutions that enhance the learning experience for educators and students alike.Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement new features while improving existing systems.Write clean, maintainable, testable, and performant code across the stack.Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.Take ownership of end-to-end feature delivery, including production monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.Collaborate cross-functionally with product and operations teams to align on requirements and timelines.Mentor junior developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.Contribute to improving engineering processes, tools, and workflows.Ideal Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience10+ years of experience developing full-stack web applications using modern frameworks and languages5+ years of experience with Node.js and TypeScriptExperience with React for front-end developmentStrong understanding of HTTP, API design, and RESTful architecturesExperience developing high-traffic, production-grade systemsExperience with automated testing and CI/CD workflowsFamiliarity with AWS, Docker, Linux, and bash scripting (preferred)Proficiency with SQL and relational database designLegally eligible to work in Canada and/or the U.SSkills Proficient in full-stack development technologies, including:Node.js / TypeScript / ExpressReactDockerSQLAWS and related toolingSelf-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilities
