This is not just a coding role—you will act as a technical leader, mentor, and change agent, helping drive engineering excellence across the team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will own complex features end-to-end and ensure the highest levels of scalability, reliability, and security.You will:Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-scale, data-driven applications across the full stackMentor and guide engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and pairing sessions, raising the technical bar across the teamChampion engineering best practices, driving improvements in scalability, reliability, observability, and securityCollaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teammates to translate business needs into elegant, well-architected solutionsInfluence system architecture decisions and take the lead on high-impact technical initiativesServe as a steward of good data practices, ensuring privacy, security, and accuracy of critical datasetsAct as a change agent within the engineering organization—introducing new tools, workflows, and approaches that improve how we deliver softwareContribute thought leadership and technical expertise to support our long-term product and technology strategyWhat You’ll BringRequired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities7+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in senior-level rolesProven leadership skills: mentoring junior engineers, leading technical initiatives, and driving team-wide improvementsStrong experience building and scaling full-stack applicationsProfessional experience with several of the following technologies:Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#Frontend: React or a similar modern JavaScript frameworkDatabases: PostgreSQL or another relational databaseDemonstrated experience architecting, building, and maintaining production systemsExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction and align teamsPreferred Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesExperience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway)Production experience with GraphQL (queries, mutations, schema design)Familiarity with event-driven and microservice architecturesExposure to multi-tenant systems and role-based access controlTrack record of contributing to architecture and system design in growth-stage SaaS companiesDaily user of AI-enhanced engineering tools (Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)Interest or experience in integrating LLMs into production systems (prompt engineering, embeddings, structured outputs, or agent-style workflows)OUR CULTUREWe are a lean, fast-moving team that values bold thinking, reliability, and continuous learning.
