As a senior member of the team you will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects in order to accelerate and optimize the development process (develop, build and release) for the firmware team. You will have opportunities to provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, as well as solve complex problems that have a great impact on the success of the company.What you'll doThe firmware build & release engineering team has a wide range of responsibilities - build system (bazel), CI/CD pipeline (gitlab), the cloud infrastructure that runs those pipelines (AWS) and a wide range of automation and tooling (python, bash). As a senior member of the team you will be expected to:Architect, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines.Identify and address pain points in the development, test and release processes.Debug complex problems between application layers and low-level infrastructure.Identify and execute code fundamental code, design and process improvements to create best in class code and following industry best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create plans, identify risks, resolve issues and deliver on schedule.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members through documentation, code reviews and knowledge sharing.What you should know7+ years of experience in a similar or related role.Demonstrated experience with build tools (bazel, buck, pants, please, CMake, Make, ninja, SCons, etc.) for large scale software.Experience in systems like Gitlab CI, Jenkins, buildkite, spinnaker or other CI/CD tools.Ability to design complex tools in python and bash.Preferred QualificationsExperience in writing starlark.Strong experience of C/C++ tooling as well as compilation and linking processes.Familiarity with the container ecosystem (docker, kubernetes).The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180k - $200k + equity + benefits.
