In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining EJP's websites. This position is based on campus, with all work conducted virtually; prison clearance is not required.​Key Responsibilities:Maintain and update websites – Regularly update content, fix broken links, and ensure website accuracy for all EJP-affiliated websites.Improve website navigation – Optimize site structure to ensure resources are easy to find.Develop new features – Implement tools like a searchable database, interactive maps, and user-friendly submission forms.Collaboration: Work closely across different teams to develop web solutions that support EJP's initiatives and enhance user experience.​Enhance accessibility – Ensure the websites comply with WCAG guidelines, making them user-friendly for all audiences and ensuring best accessibility practices.Improve website security – Implement security best practices to protect user data and prevent vulnerabilities.Minimum Qualifications:1-2 years related experience as a Web Developer/Website AdminSkills & Experience:Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScriptFamiliarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).Understanding of basic SEO and performance optimization.Understanding of Google Analytics 4 Basic understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.​Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.​While this is primarily a technical position, our expectation is that all EJP members will take advantage of offered opportunities to learn about criminal justice and incarceration and consider themselves a valued part of the wider EJP community. Compensation:Depends on status.
