Our backend platform spans multiple technologies, with newer services built using React, React Native, Node, NestJS, and TypeScript, alongside existing services implemented in Ruby on Rails.Senior engineers at Rightway are expected to bring strong technical ownership, contribute to system design, and help teams deliver reliable, high quality software.What You’ll DoBuild and maintain features across React web applications, React Native mobile applications, and backend servicesDesign and implement backend services using Node with NestJS and TypeScript and/or Ruby on Rails with GraphQLCollaborate closely with product and design partners to deliver thoughtful solutionsParticipate in architectural discussions and help guide technical decisionsWrite clean, maintainable, and well tested codeReview code and provide technical guidance to teammatesHelp improve reliability, performance, and developer experienceWho You Are5+ years of professional experience building production softwareStrong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and React and/or React NativeSolid backend experience with Ruby on Rails, Node, or similar frameworksExperience working with APIs using GraphQL or RESTInterest in working across multiple backend technologiesComfortable owning complex systems and improving them over timeCollaborative, pragmatic, and product mindedBonus Points forExperience with Ruby and RailsExperience building backend services with Node, NestJS, and TypeScriptExperience building or maintaining React Native mobile applicationsExperience with Protobuf and or gRPCFamiliarity with healthcare systems or regulated environmentsExperience handling sensitive data and privacy considerationsStartup or fast paced product experienceBASE SALARY: $160,000 - $190,000 + bonus + equityOffer amounts for both remote and in office roles are influenced by geographic location.CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS NOTICEIn response to ongoing and industry-wide fraudulent recruitment activities (i.e., job scams), Rightway wants to inform potential candidates that we will only contact them from the @rightwayhealthcare.com email domain.
