Job Description: Celara is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for one of our clients, a company building technology-driven financial products with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and long-term impact. The organization is investing heavily in its engineering team to support the evolution of its internal platforms and core business systems.The Engineering team plays a central role in developing and maintaining production systems that support critical business workflows. Teams operate in an agile, product-oriented environment and focus on continuous improvement, high-quality delivery, and clear technical ownership. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join an application scrum team and contribute directly to the development of core systems.ResponsibilitiesOwn the full software development lifecycle for production features and improvementsDesign, implement, and maintain backend and full-stack solutions in collaboration with the teamActively participate in technical design discussions and architectural decisionsWork closely with product and engineering partners to assess feasibility, scope, and technical trade-offsTake ownership of assigned work from definition through deployment and follow-upProactively identify risks, technical debt, and improvement opportunitiesAddress bugs, incidents, and production issues with a strong sense of accountabilityCommunicate progress, blockers, and decisions clearly within a distributed teamPromptly address bugs and incidents, and consistently be accessible during core hoursAct as a resource for product on technical feasibility and complexity analysis for small featuresRequirementsMust Have5+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong, hands-on Ruby on Rails experience in production environmentsExperience working on business-critical systems and existing codebasesSolid understanding of software design principles, patterns, and architectureExperience collaborating in agile / scrum-based teamsFull-stack mindset, with comfort reasoning across backend and frontend boundariesExperience working with React and TypeScript in production is strongly preferredFamiliarity with cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguous requirementsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong English (spoken and written)Ability to work autonomously while remaining highly collaborativeBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, a certificate from acoding bootcamp, or additional relevant experienceWhat We OfferA collaborative and innovative team culture.Competitive compensation based on experience.Opportunities for professional growth and continuous learning.Remote-first culture and position.Opportunity to be part of a highly skilled, fast-moving and collaborative team.
