Job Description: SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide.Job Description Summary:SOLV Energy is looking for an enthusiastic Sr. Software Engineer who can come up to speed quickly and lead small group, technical development projects within the fast-evolving renewables industry. Our Software team builds and maintains SOLV’s custom web applications for utility-scale construction management, data monitoring, analytics, and reporting.This role is fully remote. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.Job Description:*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.Position Responsibilities and Duties:Architect custom applications and lead technical development per functional requirementsEstablish, maintain and ensure compliance with standards and procedures for design, development, peer review, testing, deployment, and documentation, contributing to high quality, reliable systems that meet business needsContribute to the creation, migration, and maintenance of complex data modelsDevelop creative, efficient, and optimized database solutionsImplement user interface (UI) functionality and backend data processingManage cloud architecture and make recommendations for upgrades and enhancements based on project and business demandsDevelop methods for monitoring capacity utilization and planning for required changesMaintain and debug live software systemsContinuous learning, proactive knowledge sharing, and mentorship of teammatesAssist in technical performance evaluation and facilitation of skill growth for less experienced engineersComplete other responsibilities as assignedMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering10+ years of software development experience and demonstrated ability to deliver complex, technical solutionsGrand High Archmage in JavaScript, Typescript, Node.js and ReactDeveloping for performance optimization with large, complex data setsAdvanced database knowledge and SQL proficiencyExperience with integrating external service APIs for businesses processes and data analysisExperience with AWS and cloud servicesProficiency with Git and deployment automationStrong problem-solving ability and analytical skillsClear and concise communication skills including, but not limited to, wikis, technical specifications, flowcharts, protocol/API/schema descriptions, process documentationExperience with the following is considered a plus:AWS deployment automationIT systems, networking, and securityWhat We're Looking For:Positive attitude and desire to collaborate effectively with othersAbility to multitask between multiple complex projects and operational requestsProven leadership skills and ability to work independentlyAbility to identify problems and working solutionsExcellent attention to detailExceptional customer service orientationFlexibility, reliability, and dependabilitySOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity Employer At SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
