This role is full-stack at its core, with responsibility for integrating AI-powered functionality to support internal use cases where appropriate.This is an engineering role, emphasizing clean architecture, strong fundamentals, and end-to-end ownership across frontend, backend, and integrations.LOCATION: Can be located in any of these areas: Boston, MA or Des Moines, IOWA or Raleigh, NC or New Jersey, NJWORK AUTHORIZATION: Legally authorized to work in the country of job location. The Company does not sponsor visa petitions for this position. WHAT YOU’LL DO:  Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications from frontend UI to backend servicesDevelop frontend experiences using TypeScript (React, Next.js, or similar)Build backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI or equivalent)Integrate AI features (e.g., LLM APIs, automation, summarization, copilots) where they provide real product valueDesign clean service boundaries, API contracts, and data modelsWork with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) to deploy and operate applicationsCollaborate closely with product, design, and platform teams to ship features end-to-endWrite maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviewsApply sound judgment around security, data handling, and reliabilityWHAT YOU’VE DONE:    Bachelor’s or Masters Degree and/or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.  Strong experience as a full-stack engineer building production applicationsProficiency in TypeScript (React, Next.js, or similar frontend frameworks)Proficiency in Python for backend/API developmentExperience designing and consuming RESTful APIsExperience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, code reviews)Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyAI EXPERIENCE:Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic)Understanding of prompt design, structured outputs, and basic tool/function callingAbility to evaluate where AI adds value vs. where traditional software is more appropriatePREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Experience with AI-assisted features such as chat interfaces, summarization, extraction, or automationFamiliarity with vector databases or retrieval-based patternsExperience with event-driven systems or background job processingPrior experience in regulated or security-conscious environmentsWHAT WE VALUE:Strong full-stack fundamentals over buzzwordsEngineers who ship and own their workPractical, grounded use of AIGood judgment around security and dataClear communication and collaborationWHAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW:    Travel: 0-10% Location: Boston, MA or Des Moines, IOWA or Raleigh, NC or New Jersey, NJWork Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of job location. The Company does not sponsor visa petitions for this position. Based on a fair and equitable compensation philosophy, we have five (5) United States pay markets based on regional validated survey market data. The expected salary range for this position is between $111,100 and $179,200. This position is also eligible for annual bonuses.
