This is a full-time, U.S.-based role (candidates must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.).We specialize in open-source web solutions that require both technical depth and strategic execution. Our projects often blend exploration and creativity with disciplined delivery — meeting precise timelines, goals, and business needs.What you'll doAs a Senior Developer, you'll work across a range of high-impact, large-scale digital platforms — partnering with organizations like the American Red Cross, Barnes & Noble, Aspen Institute, and the University of Pennsylvania. Our work spans industries, with a focus on mission-driven clients. Many of the platforms we build support millions of monthly users.You’ll play a critical role in advising clients on modern best practices, helping architect and build systems that are performant, scalable, and easy to use.QualificationsStrong experience developing with WordPress GutenbergSolid experience with React (or similar frameworks like Vue.js or Ember)Proficiency with PHP and custom theme/plugin developmentExperience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, etc.)Familiarity with Apache, Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB environmentsA strong grasp of modern development workflows and version control (Git)Experience implementing SSO integrations and workflowsBonus points if you haveExperience with Linux server management, DevOps, or cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.)Agency experience working on multiple client-facing projectsAbility to obtain a federal government security clearanceFamiliarity with Git workflows and deployment strategiesWhat We OfferA dynamic and rewarding work culture!At Agital, we want to improve the state of our world.
