Job Description
This is a remote position.

We are seeking a skilled LabVantage LIMS Developer to support R&D IT applications through installation, configuration, issue resolution, and enhancements of the LabVantage LIMS system. The position requires hands-on backend development using Java/J2EE, JSF, SQL, REST APIs, and microservices, alongside strong knowledge of cloud computing (AWS or Google Cloud). Responsibilities include responding to incidents and changes, managing deployments, contributing to continuous improvements, and working with end-users to understand business needs. Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments is essential, along with tools like Jasper Reports and JRXML. The developer will be embedded in a high-performing IT team, contributing to mission-critical pharmaceutical R&D operations.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain LabVantage LIMS
Develop and troubleshoot backend solutions in Java/J2EE, REST API, Microservices
Work closely with client stakeholders to implement change requests
Handle incidents, changes, and root cause analysis
Support application maintenance and SLAs
Write and maintain JUnit test cases
Collaborate with team for unit testing and process improvements
Ensure software is compliant with SDLC processes
Operate across Linux and Windows environments
Utilize tools such as Jasper, JRXML, XML for reporting needs
Leverage cloud platforms (AWS/Google Cloud) for system integration and issue resolution



Requirements
Graduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science
Minimum 5 years of hands-on backend development using Java/J2EE
Strong knowledge of JSF, REST APIs, Microservices, Design Patterns
Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
Expertise in Jasper Reports, JRXML, and XML
Solid understanding of Linux and Windows OS
Proficiency in JavaScript and frontend tools such as React (preferred)
Ability to write and maintain JUnit test cases
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
Strong application support and maintenance background
Familiarity with SDLC and software process methodologies
Experience with incident and change management tools
Client-facing experience and effective communication skills
Ability to resolve issues within defined SLAs
