In this senior individual contributor role, you will design and deliver end-to-end digital solutions across analytics, automation, AI, and application development. You will work closely with stakeholders across service, operations, and commercial teams to translate complex business problems into scalable, elegant solutions. This role will move fluidly between building data pipelines, developing web-facing customer experiences, training AI models, and managing vendor relationships — bringing the rigor of a solutions architect and the adaptability of a true generalist. Primary ResponsibilitiesData & AnalyticsDesign and build data pipelines, dashboards, and reports that support operational and strategic decision-making across the business.Conduct in-depth analyses of business data — including field service inventory, cost drivers, and operational performance — to surface insights and drive optimization.Own the full analytics lifecycle from data extraction and modeling to stakeholder presentation.Application & Systems DevelopmentDevelop and maintain integrations and workflows using platforms such as MuleSoft, connecting internal systems and third-party applications.Build simulation tools and financial models to support business planning and scenario analysis (e.g., service contract pricing simulators).Contribute to web development projects, supporting both internal tooling and customer-facing digital experiences.Write clean, maintainable code in Python and SQL across a variety of project types.AI & AutomationLead the development and training of AI-powered tools, including chatbots and intelligent assistants tailored to business team needs.Identify and automate manual, repetitive processes across business functions, improving efficiency and reducing error.Leverage AI tools and frameworks in day-to-day work to accelerate development and enhance solution quality.Vendor & Project ManagementServe as an IT liaison and technical project manager for strategic vendor engagements, ensuring deliverables meet Candela’s requirements and timelines.Manage cross-functional projects from scoping through delivery, communicating progress and risks clearly to stakeholders.Conduct product management activities such as requirements gathering, user story development, and solution prioritization. Knowledge/Educational Requirements5–8 years of experience in a technology role with hands-on development responsibilities.Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with demonstrated experience building production-grade solutions.Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft or similar iPaaS tools.Proven ability to build analytics solutions including data pipelines, data models, and business reporting.Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks, including building or fine-tuning chatbots or language model applications.Demonstrated ability to manage projects and vendor relationships in a cross-functional environment.Comfortable working across multiple domains — data, software, AI, and business process — without needing deep specialization in any single area.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate technical work for non-technical audiences.PreferredExperience with Shopify or customer portal development.Background in field service, manufacturing, or medical device industries.Familiarity with simulation or financial modeling tools.Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, or similar).Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data stack tools. This job description is not all inclusive and is intended to capture a majority of the job functions.  Special projects and other tasks may be required by management.
