MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of client engagement experts, AI engineers and data scientists to provide sophisticated AI-Assisted planning tools for a Government client. The ideal candidate will have deep data engineering skills and experience, and a customer-oriented approach to applying technology to complex problems.Responsibilities:Design and implement robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from various systems and networks, ensuring seamless data flow.Collaborate with cloud and system architects to establish secure and efficient data transfer protocols among different networks and systems.Develop and enforce data quality standards, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of integrated data.Work closely with data scientists, architects, and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide the necessary data in a usable format for AI and machine learning.Architect data pipelines and data storage solutions to support agentic workflowsImplement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant data security policies and practicesMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.7 or more years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.Experience with SQL and NoSQL databasesExtensive experience with ETL toolsKnowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.Experience with cloud services from providers such as AWS or Oracle and their data storage and processing servicesProficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL. Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies Experience developing and implementing records management policies and proceduresPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with data security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST framework).Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure,Experience with agile development methodologiesFamiliarity with Agentic AI systems and knowledge of data governanceSecret security clearance preferredClearance Requirements:No clearance required.
