Job Description: The AI Data Engineer is a role combining software development expertise with data operations engineering support. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining data ingest applications while also serving as an escalated support engineer for the Data Ops team. The AI Data Developer leverages AI-assisted development tools to build efficient solutions and resolve complex data processing issues. In this role, the AI Data Developer: Designs, develops, tests, and maintains data ingest applications and ETL processes in our Azure cloud environment Acts as third-level support for escalated tickets related to data quality, integration, and processing issues Utilizes AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, VS Code) to accelerate development and problem-solving Works with Azure Data Bricks and SQL Server to manage and optimize data pipelines Collaborates with Help Desk, Product Management, and Development teams to resolve customer issues and improve data operations RequirementsRequired: - Proficiency in Microsoft .NET development (C#) - Experience writing SQL queries and working with SQL Server databases - Understanding of data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data pipelines - Experience with cloud-based technologies and services (Azure preferred) - Familiarity with version control (Git and Azure DevOps) - Experience working with various data formats (XML, JSON, CSV, Excel) - Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills Preferred: - Experience with Python programming - Experience with Azure Data Bricks and Spark – Experience with Python -Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) - Knowledge of relational database design and administration - Experience with performance tuning and optimization - SOLR, Redis Cache, Azure Search or similar technologies BenefitsCompensation & Benefits·       Full-time, salaried position with commission bonus structure·       Remote work environment (Must live in US time zone)·       Opportunities for travel to key industry events·       Access to passionate, mission-driven team building tools that support the entire book ecosystemSalary $85,000 - $115,000Benefits·       Fully remote with flexible work schedule·       36-hour work week·       Revenue-sharing program after one year·       PTO and sick time·       401K w/ match·       Health, vision, and dental insurance·       Short-term and long-term disability insurance·       Life AD&D insurance·       FSA for health and dependent care·       Fitness and home office stipends·       EAP
