This is a fully remote role within the United States.We're looking for a driven Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help eliminate the financial complexity of healthcare. This role will support building our core pricing systems. We value autonomous contributors who can handle complex technical challenges while collaborating effectively across teams.We have a small, growing, and highly-capable development team. As a Senior Engineer, you should be comfortable working independently on complex assignments with minimal guidance. As you would be working for a fast-growing start-up, your role would be wide-ranging. In this role, we're looking for someone who can successfully execute on non-routine technical problems and deliver consistent high-quality work.Responsibilities:Design and build robust, scalable applications using Python, Django, and modern frontend web technologiesBuild frontend data visualization components that enable users to explore and interpret complex healthcare pricing dataWork autonomously on complex assignments requiring specialist contribution and cross-team collaborationExecute and adapt established processes to achieve technical objectives with minimal guidanceWrite effective, scalable, testable code across full-stack applications (Python/Django, PostgreSQL, Typescript/Vue)Work with large datasets and AI/ML systems to process and enhance healthcare pricing dataFacilitate technical conversations and proactively communicate status and impact to avoid blockersSupport and guide teammates in understanding technical concepts and established processesIterate quickly with an eye towards valueWhat you'll bring to the role:5-7+ years work experience in Python, or strong experience in another programming language with some Python exposureExpertise in at least one popular Python web framework (preferably Django) or similar web framework in another languageStrong understanding of SQL and how to efficiently use databases to solve complex problemsSolid experience with JavaScript, and one or more modern JS frameworks like Vue or ReactExperience working with APIs, data pipelines, and complex system architecturesAbility to work effectively with minimal guidance on complex, non-routine problemsStrong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearlyProven ability to facilitate conversations, listen actively, and work effectively in remote environmentsEntrepreneurial mindset: you can problem solve independently while collaborating effectively across teamsBachelor's degree, or equivalent experience/knowledge.
