Find your future at Revvity We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Software Engineer - Biologics/Tech Lead (Java, Vert.x, AWS) to join our Signals Software team, building our next generation cloud notebook application. You will be focused on the back-end design and development of our cloud notebook product, helping turn marketing requirements into an easy to use and elegant application designed for the scientific community.If you are looking to join an international team of talented engineers, designers, and product managers, and to contribute to delivering amazing, high impact, customer-focused features, this is a great opportunity.You Will:Collaborate with fellow team members on priorities, specifications, and feature implementationCraft well-documented, clean, and tested codeCreate secure, performant interfaces and servicesBuild and maintain new, high-impact functionality into Signals NotebookWork with cloud services and technologiesBasic Qualifications:5-7 years of professional work experience5 years of Java programming skills3-5 years' experience with Reactive Programming (Vert.x)4-5 years building Web Services and Restful APIs1 year + of tech lead/mentoring experiencePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree is preferredBackend Engineers with Tech Lead experience, most desired Biologics experience is highly desiredExposure to CI/CD (Jenkins GitHub)Experience working with JDBC in a transactional application (using any RDBMS but preferably PostgreSQL)An awareness of performance implications of different queries and inserts/updatesThorough understanding of and experience with structured software development methodologies including design, development, and testing in an Agile environmentMust have strong teamwork orientation and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teamsExcellent work ethic and strong sense of ownership of end resultEntrepreneurial minded, creative problem solver, and innovative thinkerLife science, chemistry or biology experience a plusPlease include a valid LinkedIn profile link, to your resumeCandidates must have the capability to Interview In-Person at our Headquarters in Waltham, MA USAFraud Prevention Notice: We are committed to a fair and transparent hiring process.
