Over the past 10+ years, our evidence-based programs have helped patients across the country recover from a cardiac event, taking control of their health and improving their long-term outcomes. In 2024, we expanded our offerings with novel telehealth programs that bring cardiac care into patients' homes, making it more personalized, engaging, and impactful than ever before. As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll play a central role in driving innovation at Pritikin. By building and evolving our Pritikin Connect software platform, you’ll help create tools that are not only technically excellent but also directly improve the way patients recover from cardiac events. Your work will make care more seamless and empowering for clinicians, while delivering real, lasting impact on the health and lives of patients managing cardiovascular disease. You are a clear communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build alignment across the business. You have strong attention to detail and are comfortable working in a highly regulated industry with strict compliance requirements. You are confident leading a team of software developers, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely delivery of high-quality releases. 5+ years of experience as a full stack software engineer or in a similar role, with preferred expertise in Java, AngularJS, AWS, and modern deployment practices. What you’ll do: Oversee the development and maintenance of scalable, high-performance applications that align with product goals and user needs. Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. Develop and maintain front-end applications using AngularJS and back-end services using Java. Build and optimize cloud-based infrastructure on AWS to ensure security, reliability, and scalability. Manage code deployments, version control, and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable releases. Work closely with QA and product management to test, debug, and validate new features and updates. Ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and implement best practices for patient data security. Develop APIs and reporting tools to support patients, clients, account managers, and administrators. Monitor and optimize system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Establish and maintain coding standards, documentation, and technical best practices. Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to drive innovation. Define and track technical KPIs such as system uptime, performance, and release quality. Advocate for agile development practices, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
