Full job description
We are looking for a highly skilled Java Application Support Lead with strong expertise in AWS to provide production support and ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of applications. The role requires excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for thread dumps, memory leaks, DB slowness, and other complex production issues.

Key Responsibilities

Lead L1 & L2 support operations, including Incident, Problem, and Service Request Management.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, AWS, and Splunk.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues and ensure timely resolutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive stability and efficiency in production environments.
Mentor and guide junior support engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

10+ years of experience in application support with strong focus on Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Request Management.
Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, AWS Transfer Family, etc.), Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and cloud monitoring tools.
Solid knowledge of ITIL practices — Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
Technical Expertise:

Expertise in cloud-native application support on AWS.
Proficiency in monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog.
Strong debugging skills with Java applications and ability to analyze thread dumps, memory leaks, DB performance issues.
Familiarity with Python, Bash, YAML, Terraform for scripting/automation is a plus.
Advanced troubleshooting and RCA skills in production environments.
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:

Ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud-based infrastructure and application issues.
Strong analytical and logical problem-solving mindset under pressure.
Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to stability and reliability of systems.
High sense of ownership and accountability.
Shift Requirement

Must be flexible to work in rotating shifts to provide 24/7 support coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
