Job Description: What you'll do:

Design and implement scalable SaaS applications using NestJS (backend) and NextJS (frontend).
Build and optimize PostgreSQL databases and microservices architecture.
Collaborate with product teams to balance technical decisions with business objectives.
Mentor engineers on SDLC best practices and implement our design system.
Leverage AI and agentic tools throughout the development lifecycle.
Stay current with cloud-native technologies and microservices patterns.
Support deployments by debugging, troubleshooting, and coordinating with DevOps and QA.
Develop and maintain APIs and other backend functionality.
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.
This position is preferably based in Austin, Texas.

About you:

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
4+ years building and debugging large-scale, cloud-based solutions.
Strong understanding of SOLID design principles and software design patterns.
Professional experience with PostgreSQL (query optimization, migrations).
Understanding of Atomic Design principles and scalable design systems.
Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
Excellent teamwork, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience building scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
Experience with Javascript or Typescript (e.g., NodeJS, NestJS).
Experience with React, NextJS, or other frontend technologies.
Experience with Third-party payment API integration.
