Job Description: At Maptician, Inc., our team provides some of the leading SaaS solutions for hybrid office management, space optimization, and conference room management.
The Senior Software Engineer will dig in from day one, contributing to the code base, challenging architecture, deploying new features, fixing rare issues, and allowing us to deploy quickly to our clients.
Responsibilities
 Thoroughly understand the architecture of the Maptician applications and contribute to their enhancement.


 Assist in technical client meetings, suggesting paths to success, live and via video conference.


 Troubleshoot and deploy changes to code, as issues arise.


 Work through integration of applications, from validation to execution.


 Ideate, alongside the CTO, on how the platform can be enhanced, followed by planning and execution.

Minimum Requirement

 Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar


 Professional experience in web-based software development, including JavaScript, Node.js, React, MongoDB, and AWS.


 Ability to build, maintain, and standardize front-end web technologies in JavaScript without a framework.


 Strong skills and experience with Node.js with an emphasis on express.js.

Ideal Requirements:

 Strong experience developing APIs and creating integrations with external APIs.


 Ability to configure, monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot MongoDB infrastructure in our MongoDB Atlas-hosted server environment.


 Experience implementing CI (continuous integration) and other build tools with GitHub Actions for an AWS environment.


 Experience with HTML templating tools is valuable, ideally using Jade/Pug or similar.


 Any build or other automation experience is beneficial.


 AWS Elastic Beanstalk experience strongly preferred (unless skillful enough to architect and deploy a superior containerization approach).


 Ability to adapt regularly as priorities change, in addition to being a self-starter and self-sufficient.


 Experience in an agile, Kanban methodology-based environment.
